Messy Church

On the first Saturday of every month we meet at St. Francis for Messy Church. This is a family worship session which includes activities and a meal. It is for children with accompanying adults. It starts at 3.30pm with crafts and games, we then have a time of worship before eating together. It finishes by 5.30pm.

On Tuesday afternoons in term time, our after-school church, Sunbeams, meets in the Church Hall, next to St Anne's School at 3.30pm. We have a time of play and have refreshments before moving into a time of worship, song, bible story and craft. Sunbeams is open to anyone though children under 6 need an adult with them.

Sunbeams on Sunday

We meet in church at the beginning of the 10.30 am Sunday service. Then, after a children’s action song we go over to the church hall.

All ages of children (and their parents) are welcome to join us for a time of worship, Bible stories and activities to help the children to learn more about God and His love for them. We follow the same cycle of Bible readings as the congregation in church.

We all return to church in time for Holy Communion and an opportunity to “show and tell” the congregation what we have been discussing.

Simply come along and enjoy the fellowship. We follow careful Child Protection procedures to ensure that all, children and adults alike, feel safe and cared for.

We keep a register of all children who attend. If you are thinking about a place for your child in our Church School we ask that you take responsibility for making sure that your child’s presence is noted on each occasion.
