At Christmas most Churches celebrate the coming our Lord with a midnight service. The idea is that, in the Jewish way of counting, the day begins when the sun sets. Sabbath begins on Friday night; it does not start on Saturday morning.
Many Christians now also echo this tradition at Easter and we thought we would try this in 2013. So, as you see above, the first Eucharist of Easter will begin as the sun begins to set on Saturday 30 March. We will hear scripture readings that tell of God's love and care for us, we will light the Easter Fire, Renew our baptismal vows and celebrate the Eucharist - and then we will party! We really encourage you to join us at this new service for St Anne's
